Legends Series Stats & Recap

The first-ever Knicks Wellball Tournament presented by DashPass by Doordash came and went like a heatwave – fast, fierce, and unforgettable.

The Legends Series made its debut under the bright lights at Basketball City, and from the first bounce to the final bucket, it was clear: this isn’t just a game anymore. It’s a proving ground.

And the ones who proved it?
Team Magid.
Three Wellball Hall of Famers. One unstoppable run.

Magid was operating on a different frequency.
33 Moneyballs. 17 Game Winners. 79% shooting. Then came the championship game… and he hit 87% from the field. Let that sit.

Leon Rose? Timeless.
Only three Moneyballs made all day, but still cashed in 10 Game Winners, showing that clutch isn’t about volume – it’s about timing.

And Kenny Soffer did what Hall of Famers do.
Quiet buckets, 6 Game Winners, and a steady 53% clip that turned tight games into wins.

Together, Team Magid took down Team Wallace, then outlasted Team Thomas in the championship to claim the first-ever Legends Series crown.

But the day wasn’t done.

With the trophy still cooling off, the NBA pros – Marbury, Thomas, Wallace – stepped up to challenge the Hall of Famers in a bonus shootout.
And while the pros brought it (a clean 61% team average), they couldn’t outpace the precision of the Hall, who shot 66% as a unit and closed the door on any doubt.

  • John Wallace battled all day with heart and hustle, shooting 49%, knocking down 9 MBs, and adding 3 GWs for Team Wallace.
  • Anthony Donahue was a spark – grinding out a 51% clip and never backing down.
  • Maria Clifton showed poise in key moments, including a few clutch Moneyballs that kept Team Marbury alive late.
  • Paul Beckles stayed consistent, shooting 54% with clean mechanics and focus under pressure.
  • Andrew Mou matched energy with accuracy, holding his own against the legends.
  • Jacob Curtis & Will Rosato both stepped into the spotlight and delivered key buckets in tough matchups, each with multiple GWs in their bag.
